Eggebrecht, Hildegard (5 FEB 1895 – 24 OCT 1971)
Mrs. Hildegard (Pribnow) Eggebrecht, 76, of Colby, died Sunday evening at St.
Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 1971 at the First
United Church of Christ in Colby. Interment will be in the Colby Memorial
Cemetery, with the Rev. Kenneth Dix officiating.
Mrs. Eggebrecht was born in Colby February 5, 1895, and received her education
in the Colby schools, graduating from Colby High School in 1913.
She married Irvin Eggebrecht, December 31, 1914, in Colby, and lived on a farm
in the Town of Hull (Marathon Co., Wis.) until 1950.
The deceased worked at the Colby State Bank for 16 years. She was active in 4-H
club work for 41 years, in particular the Cherokee Chums 4-H Club, and was a
member of the Cherokee Homemakers, the Royal Neighbors, and the Church Guild.
She was treasurer of the Town of Hull for 26 years.
Survivors are he husband, Irvin Eggebrecht, and a brother, John Pribnow of
Loyal.
