Kippenhan, Hilda E. (6 June 1889 - 14 April 1981)

GREENWOOD -- Hilda E. Kippenhan, 91, of 1315 S. Mason St., Appleton, a former resident of Greenwood, died following a short illness April 14, at her home.

Miss Kippenhan was born here June 6, 1881 (1889). She graduated in 1907 from Greenwood High School and graduated from Oshkosh University.

She taught in Wilson Junior High School in Appleton approximately 40 years. She retired in 1951. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Appleton, and its Senior Fellowship. She was past president of Business and Professional Women's Club, Appleton, and a member of the federal and Appleton Chapter of A.A.R.P.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Emma) Wickenberg and Cilla Kippenhan, both of Appleton, and Mrs. Elmer (Lydia) Wullf of Pueblo, Colorado; and four brothers, Roland, John, Arthur and August, all of Appleton.

The funeral was April 17 with burial in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
