Richmond/Higby (10th Annual Reunion – 24 July 1976)
The 10th Annual Richmond-Higby reunion was held at the Dairyland Fox and Coon
Hunters Club north of Christie Sunday.
The 70 members present were: Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Richmond; Mr. and Mrs. Ken
Peterick, Russell, Richard, Randall and Robert, Royalton, Mn.; Ken Richmond,
Curtis, Carol, Margie and Connie, Pierz, Mn.; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Young, Billy and
Danny, Pennsylvania; Michael and Suzanne Gruetzmacher, Oak Forest, Il.; Mr. and
Mrs. Gary Beyer, Daryck and Bethany, Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Volland, Kris
and Doug., Menomonee Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Cy Spangler, Denise and Donna,
Watertown; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harp, Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hansen,
David and Tammy, Bloomer; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Horn, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Jesse
Richmond, Kathie, Bob and Marvin, Granton; William Richmond, Gene Richmond, Mrs.
Gale Oldham, Allen and Kim, Barbie and Laurie Richmond, all of Neillsville;
Florence Schwarze, Laura Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. Viv Carteron, Mr. and Mrs. Herb
Horn, Luann and Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Humke, Kurt, Todd, Joel and Dale, Mr.
and Mrs. Jerald Richmond, Wayne, Susan and Ellen of Greenwood.
Betty and Lila Horn and Myrna Richmond were in charge of the adults with prizes
awarded to the following: Kathy Richmond and LuAnn Horn, door prizes; Bill
Richmond, oldest man present, 90; Florence Schwarze, oldest woman present, 84;
Robert Peterick for 10 birthday closes to the reunion; Floyd Richmond, car with
most mileage; Joyce Oldham, wearing red, white and blue; Michael Gruetzmacher,
the only name that spelled America.
Suzanne Gruetzmacher was in charge of the children’s games, which consisted of a
water relay, bubble gum blowing and Toilet paper wrap-up. Prizes were awarded to
all participants.
A potluck dinner and supper were served. The next reunion will be held July 31,
1977.
