Patterson, Joyce Elaine (Marriage – 25 July 1976)

Joyce Elaine Patterson and Mathias Charles Anderson were united in marriage Sunday, July 25, in a 2:30 p.m. ceremony at Warrendale Presbyterian Church in St. Paul. The Rev. Courtney Furman officiated at the double ring service.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. R. Eugene Patterson, Greig, N.Y., and Mr. and Mrs. Harland K. Anderson, Merrillan.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a traditional white Spanish-style empire waistline gown with a lace cape over lace butterfly sleeves, framed by a floor-length veil. White pompons with red sweetheart roses formed her bouquet.

Margaret Patterson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Pamela Arledge and Ann Long were bridesmaids. Kaydi Hansen was the flower girl. They appeared in colonial light blue gowns and carried small clusters of red roses.

Bestman was David Olson. Wilbert Breheim, Jr., and Mark Hagen were groomsmen. Adrian Misenko was ringbearer. Daniel Utberg and Richard Hagen seated the guests.

A reception at the Blue Room, Northwestern College in Roseville, Mn., followed the ceremony.

Following a wedding trip to Canada and New York, the couple will reside at 1246 Engelwood Ave., St. Paul.

The groom is employed by a railroad company in St. Paul and the bride is employed by a Bloomington, Mn., firm.
