Meredith, Tracey (Marriage – 7 August 1976)
Marriage vows were pledged Saturday, August 7, at the Neillsville United Church
of Christ by Miss Tracey Meredith and Paul L. Simenson of Eau Claire. The Rev.
Gary Clark officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony, followed by a reception and dance
at Bali Hai Supper Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Meredith of Rt. 1 Neillsville.
She was presented in marriage by her father. The groom is the son of Mrs. Jacob
Huber of Wisconsin Rapids and James Simonson of Neillsville.
A cascade of ivory roses with trailing ivy complimented the bride’s gown of
sheer ivory organza detailed with venise lace and styled with a V-neckline,
angel sleeves and a floor length skirt flowing into a chapel train. Her venise
lace-edged veil was caught by a matching lace Camelot headpiece.
Valerie Vincent was the maid of honor, with Marilee Simenson of Eau Claire,
Shelley Meredith and Valerie Meredith as bridesmaids. Their angel-sleeved gowns
of ivory gauze featured floral design viol panels in shades of apricot and blue.
They carried wicker parasols filled with apricot and blue carnations and Belinda
roses, and wore matching flowers in their hair.
The groom was attended by Joe Simenson, Wisconsin Rapids, as bestman and by
James Knoff, Eugene Opelt and Richard Forrest, Oconto, as groomsmen. Guests were
seated by Bruce Vandeberg, Fridley, Mn., and Daniel Potter, Marshfield.
Margie and Janet Meredith served as flower girls.
Organist for the ceremony was Mrs. Wayne Zoutendam. Charlotte Smith was a
vocalist, and LaRai Martin was a vocalist and guitarist.
The bride was honored at a prenuptial shower hosted by her maid of honor at the
Meredith home.
A 1975 graduate of Neillsville High School, the new Mrs. Simenson attends
District One Technical Institute where she is studying for an associate degree
in fashion merchandising. Her husband also attended Neillsville schools and is
employed as a salesman for a Menomonie farm systems firm.
The couple will live at 1709 Dorrett Rd., Eau Claire. A wedding trip to the
Bahamas is planned for a later date.
