Klauer, Theresa (26 September 1884 – 8 August 1976)
A longtime resident of the Globe area, Mrs. Theresa Klauer of Memorial Home,
died Sunday, August 8, at the age of 91. Funeral services were held Wednesday
from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe, with the Rev. Ralph Stuebs officiating.
Burial followed in the church cemetery. The Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Klauer, daughter of William and Augusta Klueckmann Kalsow, was born
September 26, 1884, in the Neillsville area and was educated in local schools.
Her marriage to Paul Klauer took place December 18, 1907; for many years, the
couple farmed in the Town of Seif, then moved to an apartment above the Globe
Store in 1949. They moved to Neillsville in 1964 and entered Memorial Home in
1970. Mr. Klauer preceded his wife in death on April 1, 1974. Mrs. Klauer was a
member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and of its Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include three children, Arnold Klauer of Milwaukee, Mrs. George
(Violet) Oleson of Oconomowoc and Kenneth Klauer of Creal Springs, Il.; one
sister, Mrs. Martha Hoffman of Neillsville; one brother, Edward Kalsow of
Granton; and nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
