Chadwick, Mathilda "Tillie" L. (9 May 1893 - 26 June 1981)

NEILLSVILLE -- Mrs. Mathilda "Tillie" L. Chadwick, 88, of 1215 Bruley St. Neillsville, died at Memorial Home, Neillsville, Friday.

Services will be Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Henseler officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Louie Kessler, Leo Kessler, Ernest Schwellenbach, Charles Wasserburger, James Wasserburger and Delbert Langreck.

The former Mathilda Wasserburger was born May 9, 1893 at Neillsville to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wasserburger. She received her education here, graduating from Neillsville High School. She was employed at the Wasserburger store here until her marriage, June 8, 1927 at Neillsville to Millard Chadwick.

They farmed for many years in the town of Weston. Her husband died in 1961 and in 1968 she moved to Neillsville. She had been a resident of Memorial Home the past several months.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Survivors include two sons, James, Neillsville, and Robert, Greenwood; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Kessler, Neillsville and Mrs. Josephine Sherman, Mount Calvary; a brother, Henry Wasserburger, Neillsville; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She also was predeceased by a daughter, three sisters and three brothers.
