Brady, Rev. Charles (1 Aug 1906 - 30 June 1981)
NEILLSVILLE -- The Rev. Charles D. Brady, 73, died Tuesday at St. Francis
Nursing Home in La Crosse where he had been resident.
The Rev. Brady had served several years as pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church
in Neillsville,
A Mass of Resurrection will be Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial
will be in Neillsville. Gesche Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The Rev. Brady was born August
1, 1906 in Smear, County Langford, Ireland to Michael and Ellen (Morris) Brady.
He received his education there. His priest training was at St. Patrick's
College, Ireland and at St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore, Maryland.
He was ordained June 15, 1923 and served as assistant at St. Jame's Parish,
Wausau and St. James Parish, La Crosse. He also served as administrator at St.
Bernard's Patrick, Abbotsford and at St. Patrick's Parish, Seneca.
Pastorates included Sacred Heart, Mondovi; St. Mary's, Galesville; Sacred Heart,
Nekoosa; St.Jame's, Eau Claire; St. Patricks's, Halder; and St. Mary's,
Neillsville, from which he retired in 1974.
Until his recent illness he was a resident of Vero Beach, Florida.
He was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church in Vero Beach and a Fourth Degree
Knight of Columbus.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. George (Rose Ellen) Weidler and Mrs. George
(Beatrice) Nau, both of Brooklyn, New York; and two brothers, Michael Brady,
Dublin, Ireland and Edward Brady, County Langford, Ireland.
