Foemmel, August C. (29 September 1886 - 2 July 1981)

CHILI -- August C. Foemmel, 94, Route 1, Chili, died Thursday at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.

Services will be Monday at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Chili. The Rev. Wallace Anderson of Neillsville will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Chili.

He was born September 29, 1886, in the town of Grant. He attended the Granton Lutheran School. He farmed there and was married to Louise Schilling on December 11, 1911 in Marshfield.

They moved to farm in Fremont. The couple had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1971.

Mr. Foemmel was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Wenzel (Adeline) Lee, Chili; Mrs. Wilbert (Alvina) Korth, Fort Atkinson, and Mrs. Walter (Violet) Korth, Cambridge; one son, Forest Foemmel, Chili; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, five brothers and two sisters.
