Bartik, Cara (27 FEB 1890 – 25 NOV 1971)
Mrs. Edward Bartik, 81, the former Cara Umhoefer, died on Thanksgiving Day at
the home of her sister, Mrs. Tess Hackworthy, in Madison, where she had been
visiting.
Her remains were taken to her home town of Plainfield, where a funeral mass was
read on Saturday. Burial was in the Colby Cemetery.
Clara (Umhoefer) Bartik was born at Cherokee on February 27, 1890. She attended
Colby schools.
She was married to Edward Bartik in Colby in 1923. Her husband preceded her in
death in 1946.
Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
She is survived by one sister, Teresa Hackworthy of Madison
