Rupprecht, George L. (20 October 1894 – 16 August 1976) With Flag

A Clark County native, George L. Rupprecht, 81, of Memorial Home, died there Monday, August 16. Funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Nordin of Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

The body of Mr. Rupprecht was to be in state from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, this Thursday morning, and until time of services.

The son of George and Caroline Luck Rupprecht, he was born October 20, 1894, in Clark County and was educated in schools in the county. Mr. Rupprecht worked for a time at the Neillsville Cannery. He served with the armed forces during World War I. After moving to Milwaukee, he worked at the Gridley Dairy there, then worked for Waukesha Motors until he retired and returned to Neillsville. He was a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Rupprecht was married three times. His first marriage was to the former Florence Greeler; his second, to the former Ida Zimmerman; and his third to the former Marie Bushhousen.

Surviving are two children, Mrs. Franklin (Bernice) Schaub of Milwaukee and Everett Rupprecht of Coon Rapids, Mn.; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
