Weix, Bonnie Jean (4 SEP 1965)
Miss Bonnie Jean Weix, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Weix of Colby, and David
L. Burich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burich of Chippewa Falls, were married
Saturday, September 4, 1965 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in an 11 o’clock
ceremony performed by the Rev. John B. Pinion.
The bride chose a floor length gown of Chantilly lace, styled with long
traditional tapered sleeves and a scalloped neckline enhance with sequins. A
pleated cummerbund complemented the fitted bodice. The bouffant skirt featured
scalloped ties of lace sweeping into a chapel train.
The bridal attendants, who were Miss Jacqueline Weix and Miss Rose Ann Weix, and
Miss Linda Burich of Chippewa Falls, wore floor length dresses of peau satin in
royal blue, styled with elbow length sleeves and demure scoop necklines. A float
panel to the hemline fell from the back waistline of each sheath skirt. French
bows in harmonizing color held their bouffant veils.
Tom Burich of Chippewa Falls served as best man, and Arnold Ritzmeger, also of
Chippewa Falls, and Lawrence Weix of Colby were the other attendants.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents,
and a wedding dance was held that evening at the Sportsmen’s Park.
Following a wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells, the couple will be at home at 909 ½
Summer Street, Eau Claire, where the groom is a student at the Wisconsin State
University. The bride is employed as a beautician.
