Dable, Donald E. (5 March 1914 - 23 July 1981)
DORCHESTER -- Service for Donald E. Dable, 67, of Route 2, Dorchester, who died
here Thursday of an apparent heart attack while riding a bicycle will be
Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Stetsonville. The Robert Meiselweitz will
officiate and burial will be at Medford Evergreen Cemetery.
Freinds may call at Hemer Funeral home in Medford.
Mr. Dable was born March 5, 1914 in the town of Browning and attended school
there. He married Violet R. Kastner in Medford on February 16, 1946 and she
survives.
As a young man he farmed in the town of Browning and did woods work. In 1944 he
began employment with the Medford Co-op Creamery where he worked for 24 years
until his retirement in 1968. The couple then lived in Stetsonville until 1977,
when they moved to their present address in Dorchester.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, DoWayne of West Salem; five
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Ira of Medford; and two
sisters, Mrs. Gladys Vecker and Mrs. Harold (Joyce) Wedeman, both of Oceanside,
California.
He was predeceased by two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Frank Rauscher, Clarence Geiger, Glen Wesle, William Moore,
Walter Bucki and Clifford Marcott.
