Laski, Louis J. (27 March 1918 - 4 August 1981)
CURTISS -- Louis J Laski, 63, or Route 1 died Tuesday morning of an apparent
heart attack. Services will be Friday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in
Abbotsford. The Rev. Emil Hodnick will officiate and burial will be in
Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at Maurina Funeral Home in
Abbotsford.
Mr. Laski was born March 27, 1918 in Thorp. He married Lorraine Umlauft October
22, 1946 in Dorchester. He received his education at Stetsonville schools and
lived in the Abbotsford-Curtiss area most of his life.
He worked for the Melvin Companies the past 15 years.
He was a World War I veteran and a life member of the Colby Veterans of Foreign
Wars, and a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Dolores) Ludwig of
Dorchester, Mrs. Dennis (Beverly) Witt and Mrs. Ronald (Ailene) Loertscher, both
of Unity and Debra Laske of Curtiss; one son, Gerry of Superior; three brothers,
George of Sweet Home, Oregon and James and Jerome of Owen; two sisters, Mrs.
Alex (Margaret) Ladonis of Berwick, Oregon and Mrs. Walter (Constance) Pacewicz
of McHenry, Illinois and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Anthony.
