Deist, Ann (24 January 1911 - 5 August 1981)

NEILLSVILLE -- Mrs. Ann Deist, 70, of Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

The former Ann Mintkiewicz was born January 24, 1911 in Milwaukee and was educated there, graduating from Bay View School. She worked as a secretary in Milwaukee for several years and was married January 24, 1948 in East Troy to Roy Deist. They farmed in the East Troy area until their retirement in 1970 when they moved to Neillsviile. Her husband died August 10, 1975.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Milton (Yvonne) Friemoth of Neillsville; one sister, Mrs. Fred (Luella) Schmidt of Milwaukee; one brother, Anthony Merton of Downing, California; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by six brothers and sisters.

Services will be Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. Hoseph Henseler, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Gesche Funeral Home.
