Safemaster, Lester L. (16 November 1915 - 7 August 1981)
UNITY -- Lester L. Safemaster, 65, Unity died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Marshfield, where he was admitted earlier in the day.
Funeral services will be Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, with the Rev.
Donald Flatt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will
be at Rux-Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.
Mr. Safemaster was born November 16, 1915 and received his education in Unity
public schools. He farmed and also was a milk hauler. He worked for Land O'
Lakes the past 17 years and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of
Trinity Lutheran Church.
He and Eileen Edblom were married April 7, 1951 at Unity.
Survivors are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Judith) Krueger of Colby,
Mrs. Lee (Sandra) Smith of Spencer, Mrs. Duane (Susan) Hebert of Loyal and Mrs.
Vickie Mateski of Spencer; three sons, Dennis, Terrance and Donald Safemester,
all of Unity; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Flatt of Dubuque,
Iowa; and one brother, Roland of Milwaukee.
He was predeceased by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
