Olson, Mary (10 DEC 1887 – 30 SEP 1965)
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Olson, 77, of Abbotsford, who died after a
lingering illness, Thursday, September 30, 1865 at St. Joseph’s Hospital at
Marshfield, were held Monday morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at
Abbotsford. The Rev. Raymond B. Schulz officiated at a mass of requiem at 10
o’clock.
The pallbearers for the interment, which was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery,
were Andrew Haderlein, Al Hanacek, Bill Krueger, Ed Laper, Eldred Zahorka, and
Erwin Zahorka.
A general rosary was held at the Polnaszek Funeral Home Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
The former Mary Zahorka was born December 10, 1887 at Milan. After her marriage
to Harry Olson, November 24, 1913, the couple made their home at Abbotsford,
where Mr. Olson was a cheese maker.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John (Mildred) Hanson, Westboro; a son,
Harvey Olson, Wisconsin Rapids; three sisters, Sister Liberta, Chicago; Mrs.
Christine Krueger, Wausau, and Miss Rosie Zahorka, Milwaukee; a brother, Joseph
Zahorka, Pine Island, Minnesota; six grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963. Two brothers also preceded her
in death.
Her children, sister, and brother attended the funeral, and other relatives and
friends from Milwaukee, Wausau, Medford, Milan, Dorchester, Colby, and
Abbotsford were present.
