Lamovec, Jerry F. (4 JUL 1946 – 20 JUN 2020)

JERRY F. LAMOVEC, age 73, of Willard, passed away at Marshfield Medical Center, in Marshfield, WI, on June 20, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held for Jerry on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 3pm to 7pm at Settlers Park, in Willard. Visitation will be from 3pm to 5pm, followed by a service at 5pm, and then visiting until 7pm.

Jerry Frank Lamovec was born on July 4, 1946 in Greenwood, WI, the son of Frank G. and Helen M. (Brezic) Lamovec. He was raised on the family farm in Willard, and received his education in area schools, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1964. After high school, Jerry moved to Milwaukee, WI and worked at West Allis Concrete, now Spancrete. He was united in marriage to Mary L. Turnquist on June 15, 1968 in Milwaukee. Jerry served in the U.S. Army Reserve from September 21, 1965 and until his honorable discharge on September 24, 1971. In 1973, they moved back to Willard and took over the operation of his family's farm. Jerry and Mary farmed together for 25 years until retiring in 1998, and then built a home just south of Willard. After retiring from farming, Jerry drove truck for many people, including, Jeff Ossman, Golden Grain Transport, Kevin Fellenz, and delivered cabinets for his son, Jason, at Kitchen Koncepts.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard, and was the sexton of the church cemetery. Jerry had many interests, but especially enjoyed going to Brewer games, spending time with his children and grandchildren and riding motorcycle.

Jerry will be dearly missed by his wife, Mary, of Willard; his children: Jason (Patty) Lamovec of Willard, Tina Lamovec of Greenwood, Melanie Kind (Jeff Dick) of Loyal, and Roscoe (April) Lamovec of Greenwood; his grandchildren: Kassidy Lamovec, Sydney and Sierra Kind, and Rhett Lamovec; 2 sisters: Mary (Larry) Hadzima of Midlothian, TX, Germaine (Rob) Levac of Hot Springs Village, AR; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Shannon, on January 1, 2006; and one sister: Judy Bauer-Mayenschein on September 28, 2016.
