Laube, Kenneth L. (12 SEP 1931 - 16 JUN 2020)
Kenneth L. Laube, age 88, of Marshfield formerly of Colby, passed away on
Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at his residence in Marshfield.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date at the Riverside
Cemetery in Withee, WI.
Ken was born on September 12, 1931 in Chetek, the son of Karl and Laura (Abel)
Laube. He was a 1950 graduate of Colby High School. He was united in marriage to
Sharon Ann Matson on July 11, 1964 at the First United Church of Christ in
Colby. Ken was a rural mail carrier for the Colby Post Office for over 41 years
and he also owned a meat processing service in Colby for many years. He was a
member of the First United Church of Christ in Colby and served on the Church
Council for many years. Ken was a charter member of the Colby Lions and was on a
bowling team for many years. Sharon and Ken spent winters in Mission Texas for
twenty years and traveled throughout the USA in their motor home. They also took
many trips to Canada with various travel companies. Ken loved camping,
traveling, waterskiing and boating.
He is survived by his wife: Sharon of Marshfield, sons: Steve Laube of Carol
Stream, IL and Darren (Katherine) Laube of Bartlett, IL, grandchildren: Amber
and Vincent and a sister: Lorraine Laube of Marshfield, nieces, nephews and
other relatives and friends.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, a son: Allen Laube and a sister: Janet
Laube.
