Armando Bonilla Guzman, 71, of Curtiss, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020,
at the Marshfield Medical Center. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at a
later date. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with
the arrangements.

Guzman, Armando B. Sr. (1 FEB 1949 – 17 JUN 2020)
Armando Bonilla Guzman Sr., age 71, of Curtiss, passed away on Wednesday, June
17, 2020 at Marshfield Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial by invitation only will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Monday, July 6, 2020 at Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Family
and friends can watch the service live through Facebook by typing in Maurina
Schilling Funeral Homes. Father Timothy Oudenhoven will officiate. Interment is
to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in the Town of Mayville.
Armando was born on February 1, 1949, the son of Natividad and Ursula (Guzman)
Bonilla in General Francisco R. Murguia Zacatecas, Mexico. He was united in
marriage to Magdalena Chairez Lira on January 16, 1970 in Nieves, Gral. FCO. R.
Murguia, Zacatecos, Mexico. Armando was a general laborer for Abbyland Foods.
He arrived in the US in the 1980’s. Armando was a very hard worker always
outside working on his garden with his wife. He always stayed busy, enjoying the
nice weather sitting outside and having a nice cold drink. Armando liked
watching the horse races with his family and friends. Everyone knew him as Tio
Mando. He was loved by so many.
Armando is survived by his wife; Ma. Magdalena Chairez Lira, six children:
Olegario Bonilla, Maria Elena Bonilla, Fernando Bonilla, Omar Bonilla, Armando
Bonilla Jr. and Christina Bonilla; fifteen grandchildren; eleven
great-grandchildren and nine brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Maria Garcia,
Paulino Bonilla and Juan Bonilla.
