Habighorst, Robert E. (20 May 1916 - 14 August 1981)
OWEN - Robert E. Habighorst, 65, of Owen died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital,
Rochester, Minnesota.
Services will be Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee, with the Rev.
Douglas R. Greenwald officiating, and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery,
Withee. Visitation are at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen.
Mr. Habighorst was born May 20, 1916 in Green Bay and he and Pauline Senzig were
married July 24, 1937 at Lanstad. He graduated from Green Bay West High School
and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, taking a cheese-making course.
He owned and operated a cheese factory at Kunesch from 1937-1950, when he moved
to Owen, operating the Owen Theater until this year. He also worked for the Post
Co., Owen, and later for Master Package Corp, retiring in 1974.
A member of St. John's Lutheran Church, he is survived by his wife; a son, John
of Three Lakes; two daughters, Mrs. Karen Haselow of West Bend and Mrs. Randy
(Kathleen) Frederickson, Owen; two brothers, Henry of Phoenix, Arizona, and
Frederick of Bonduel; one sister, Mrs. Norman (Adelaide) Senzig, Bonduel; and
nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harold Parker, Chet Mroz, Elmer Haselow, Carl Hriber,
Clarence Dums and Vincent Frane.
He was predeceased by his parents.
