Chojnacki, Anton “Tony” III (4 November 1944 – 25 June 2020) With Flag
Anton “Tony” Francis Chojnacki III, 75, of Black River Falls (BRF) passed away
at his home surrounded by family June 25, 2020.
Tony was born in Chicago, IL, Nov. 4, 1944, to Lillian (Obzarny) Chojnacki and
Anton Francis Chojnacki II.
Tony lived in Chicago until the age of seven. He moved to Dorchester, where he
was raised by his aunt and
uncle, Irene and Arnold Lindau. He attended school in Dorchester. After
graduating, he attended Barber School in 1965. In 1968, he served in the Army,
and in 1969, he joined the National Guard in Abbotsford.
After moving to BRF in 1971, he joined the BRF National Guard. Tony also worked
as a bartender and manager at The Pines for 30 years. He also drove school bus
for the BRF School District for 14 years. He retired from driving at the end of
the 2019 school year. He married the love of his life, Sandy Potter, Feb. 18,
1978.
Tony was the father of six children, Cynthia, who preceded him in death, Michael
(Gary) Chojnacki, Christina (Dan) Glenzinski, Melinda (Lance) Muir, Miranda
(Jason) Schermann and Morgan (Joshua) Apicella.
They were blessed with 11 grandchildren, Paige, Caleb, Izzabella, Destiny, Lance
Jr., Christopher, Serenity, Ethan, Aiden, Drew and McKenzie. Tony will also be
fondly remembered by numerous friends, nieces, nephews, family members and a
very special friend, Kristi Pronschinske.
A celebration of life is being planned for later in July. An announcement of the
time and date will be
shared for those who wish to attend.
