Allain, Alma (15 JUN 1891 – 14 NOV 1965)
Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Allain, Tripoli, former Unity area resident, were
held Wednesday, November 17, 1965 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby.
Mrs. Allain died Sunday afternoon at a Tomahawk hospital. She was 74 years old.
The Rev. John B. Pinion officiated at the service, and burial was in the parish
cemetery. Funeral arrangements were attended to by Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.
Born Alma Foltz at Wonewoc, Wisconsin June 15, 1891, she was married to Joe
Allain in 1917 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby. The couple lived near Unity
during their entire married life. Mr. Allain died in 1953. Mrs. Allain was a
member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Society.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Virginia Heiden of Lompoc,
California, Mrs. James (Margaret) Wilcott, Milwaukee, Mrs. Donald (Evonne)
Fischer, Tripoli, and Mrs. O.A. (Kathalyn) Kline of Aurora, Illinois; one son,
Donald Allain of Milwaukee; 17 grandchildren; four brothers, Carl and Henry
Foltz of Wonewoc, and Arthur and Ben Foltz of Marshfield. She was preceded in
death by one son, three brothers and one sister.
