CVTC Students of 5 Clark County Communities (Scholarships – 2020))
Twelve Clark County residents have received scholarships at Chippewa Valley
Technical College (CVTC).
Rick Bartsch, Granton, received the 3M Map New Student Scholarship.
Two students from Greenwood received scholarships. Tyler Fox received the Gerald
Hawkenson Memorial Scholarship. Casey Susa received the Lyman Lumber of
Wisconsin Endowment Scholarship.
Sidney Schultz of Loyal received the L.E. Phillips Memorial Endowment and
Maybelle Brechlin Price Memorial Endowment Scholarships.
Marcus Ackerman, Owen, received the Don and Mary Samuelson Endowment
Scholarship. Also, from Owen, Joanna Fox received the Pamela Hanson Memorial
Endowment Scholarship.
Six students from Thorp received scholarships, Diana Copus received the Francis
C. Sorrentino Memorial Scholarship. Michael Anderson received the IT Software
Developer Program Enrollment Scholarship. Alexander Tyznik received the Lavern
G. Soper Memorial Scholarship. McKenna LaCanne received Prevea Health New
Student Scholarship. Rebekka Kott received the R.E. Carter Memorial Endowment
Scholarship. BoJaymes Baehr received the Xcel Energy Electrical Power
Distribution Scholarship.
CVTC students received 351 scholarships totaling $336,889 during the 2019-2020
academic year.
“Often donors create scholarship funds to memorialize a loved one or to support
a cause, but it all comes down to making differences in live of recipients,”
CVTC Mark Gunderman wrote in a press release.
Recipients and donors are annually recognized at a scholarship reception each
spring. However, this year’s reception was cancelled because of the novel
coronavirus pandemic.
