Lebiecki, Amelia (2 January 1917- 15 July 1999)

Amelia Lebiecki, age 82, of 216 Sunset Place, Neillsville died at 11:30 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 1999 at Neillsville Memorial Home.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in the Polish National Cemetery, Lublin, Wis.

Amelia was born on Jan. 2, 1917, in Thorp, to Leon and Stefania (Weilgus) Dus. She was married on Sept. 25, 1937, in Chicago, Ill., to Paul Lebiecki. She was educated at Gilman High School, graduating in 1935. After raising her family, she then entered Taylor County Teachers College, graduating in 1969. She taught in the Medford School system for several years. She and her husband farmed in the Lublin area most of their lives. After the death of her husband, she moved to Greenwood. She was a member of the Lublin Homemakers for many years. She entered Memorial Home in 1996.

Survivors include five daughters: Helen (James) Jones, Muskego, Doris (Ronald) Harrelson, Kingston, Ill., Linda (Ronald) Rosiejka, Helensville, Nancy (Paul) Mohr, Neillsville, Debra (David) Anderson, Platteville; two brothers; Steve Dus, Thorp, Leon (Charlotte) Dux, Evansville, Ind; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, in 1977, and one brother, Frank Dus

Buchanan Funeral Home of Neillsville assisted the family with arrangements.
