Jennifer Glaze
With its primary focus on serving the youth of our community and helping to
ensure they have the support to meet life’s challenges, the Neillsville Kiwanis
Club proudly begins the 50th consecutive year of its Junior Kiwanian program.
Through this program, members are able to interact with selected students and to
see first-hand the products of good community involvement quality academics and
the strong character of the students themselves.
The club is pleased to announce Jennifer Glaze as the Junior Kiwanian for the
month of October. She is the daughter of Dean and Carol Glaze and is a senior at
Neillsville High School. Jennifer was introduced to club members by Kiwanian
Brent Shoup and will be participating in the Monday meetings during the month.
Jennifer’s high school experience shows a balance of academic achievement,
participation in sports, clubs, extra-curricular activities, outside employment
and volunteer work. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Club
and the Spanish Honor Society and has made trips with the club to Mexico in 2008
and Spain in 2010, as well as serving as club president. She assists as a
Spanish translator in the elementary grades. Jennifer has participated in the
state forensics competition, is involved in High Potential, has been in band,
and is currently a member of chorus and show choir. Additionally, she has
maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school. Athletically, Jennifer has
participated in track, cross country and has ben a manager for the cross country
team.
Activities outside of school include serving as a Special Olympics coach,
