Apfelbeck, Frank H. (2 MAY 1890 – 27 NOV 1965)
Funeral services for Frank H. Apfelbeck, 85, Colby, were held Tuesday, November
30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby. The Rev. John Pinion officiated and
burial was in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were attended to by the
Lulloff Funeral Home.
Mr. Apfelbeck died Monday, November 27, 1965 at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield.
Born in the town of Hull (Marathon Co., Wis.), Frank Apfelbeck received in
eduation in area public schools. He worked as a young man as a mail clerk for
the railroad. He was married January 8, 1918 to Catherine Pecher at Wuerzburg,
Wisconsin. They farmed in the town of Hull until their retirement in 1949, when
they moved to Colby. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the
Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include his wife, six brothers, Peter, Leo, Carl, Ben and Albert, all
of Colby, and Ernest of Abbotsford, and two sisters, Mrs. Norbert (Tillie)
Schraufnagel and Mrs. Rose Thorn, both of Colby. He was preceded in death by one
brother.
