Sandley, Millie (13 JUN 1897 – 23 NOV 1965)
Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Millie) Sandley, Unity, were held Saturday,
November 27, 1965 at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby. The Rev. R. James Hagen
officiated, and burial was in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Sandley died Tuesday, November 23, 1965 at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield. She was 68 years old.
Born Millie DeVoe June 13, 1897 in Green County, Wisconsin, she attended public
schools in the Monroe area. Her marriage to Frank Sandley took place December
20, 1916 at Freeport, Illinois. They lived in Green County until 1925, when they
moved to a farm near Cadott, where they lived for 22 years. They then moved to
the town of Brighton (Marathon Co.), where they lived for the past 18 years.
She is survived by her husband, five son, LaVerne Sandley, Madison, Odell
Sandley, Rockford, Illinois, Theodore Sandley, Beaver Dam, Victor Sandley,
Spencer, Harold Sandley, Spencer; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Margaret) Watzke,
Waunakee, and Mrs. John (Gloria) Lima, Seattle, Washington; three brothers,
Floyd DeVoe, Brodhead, Herbert DeVoe, Janesville, and Clarence DeVoe, Winslow,
Illinois; and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Sanderegger, Brodhead, and Mrs. Al
(Leona) Bittrick Burbank, California.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, four brothers and one sister.
