Nipko, Harilee (20 NOV 1965)

Miss Harilee Nipko of route 1, Unity, and Robert Dekarske of Marshfield pledged their marriage promises on Saturday, November 20, 1965 at the Colby Methodist Church, Colby. The Rev. R. James Hagen, pastor, performed the ceremony, for which Miss Mary Vorland was the organist. William Ziegler sang “O Promise Me” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dekarske of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Nipko of route 1, Unity, are the parents of the bridal couple.

For her wedding the bride was attired in a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and acetate peau with a chapel train. The long sleeved lace bodice had a jewel trim neckline and the bouffant skirt was caught up at the front with a bow and revealed a lace flounce at the hemline. A velveteen cabbage rose held her bouffant veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and feathered white chrysanthemums.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wolf of Dorchester, as the honor attendants, and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smart of Wausau, completed the wedding party. Richard Dekarske and James Krotzman seated the guests at the church.

The bride’s attendants carried crescent bouquet of white carnations and wore velveteen pillbox hats with their electric blue velveteen dresses.

A reception and dinner took place in the church parlors after the ceremony.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Dekarske are making their home at route 2, Stratford. Mr. Dekarske is employed at Marshfield Home, Inc.
