Leichtnam, Rose Frieda (2 August 1891 - 21 December 1981)

Rose Frieda Leichtnam, 90, Abbotsford, died Monday evening at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen.

She was born August 2, 1891, in the town of Holton, to Gust and Ida Tischendorf. On October 11, 1911, she married Ed Leichtnam in Dorchester, He died September 1, 1972.

They farmed in the town of Mayville until 1934, when they moved to Abbotsford.

Mrs. Leichtnam is survived by one son, Arthur, Abbotsford; one daughter, Mrs. Earl (Alice) Prochnow, Athens; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford, with the Rev. Robert Everhart officiating. Burial will be in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery.
