Ballard, Aryan (National American Miss Competition – 25 August 2012)

It was another landmark year at the National American Miss competition for one six-year old Thorp citizen on August 25 in Wisconsin Dells.

Six-year-old Aryan Ballard, daughter of Pete and Peggy Ballard, competed in the 4-6 years age division of the competition for the second year. With her older brother Tyler as her escort, Aryan entered in many different categories, but out of all the competitions, the young princess excelled in the talent competition, where she sang “We Shall Be Free” by Garth Brooks. Aryan won over the judges both in her singing and talents, especially in her complete cowgirl costume, including a cowboy hat and boots. The young singing star earned top ranks, being named the third runner up in the talent competition out of 61 girls.

Beyond the singing and dancing, Aryan went on to win top billing in the Cover Girl Category, which earned her, her first crown of the competition. Aryan also earned the Spirit of America Award, the photogenic Award, and the State Finalist Award. Because Aryan was a runner up in talent and was a crown winner in the “Cover Girl,” she was double qualified to participated in the National Competition in Anaheim, California in November.

“Thank you to my sponsors,” said Aryan. The assistance of her sponsors helped her get to this point and gave her the added chance to compete at the national level.

Best of luck to Aryan as well as she prepares for competition in November.
