George Huntzicker of this city (Neillsville) has been commissioned inspector of
small arms practice in the Wisconsin State Guard with the rank of major.
Formerly he held a like command with the National Guard and is recognized in
Army circles as one of the best men in his line in the Middle West.
He expects to leave for Camp Douglas July 5th, where he will remain for a month
or more. In private life Mr. Huntzicker is employed as traveling salesman for
the Felker Brothers Manufacturing Company of this city, and is very popular in
the commercial world. In addition to teaching rifle practice, it is understood
he will teach the use of the shot gun, or wing shooting, for use in the trenches
for braking hand grenades when thrown in the air. (Marshfield Herald)
