Watson, Julia A. (21 SEP 1933 – 2020)

Julia A. Watson, 86, of Abbotsford, died July 13, 2020, at Abbotsford Healthcare Center. Per Julia’s wishes, the body will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.

She was born Sept. 21, 1933, in Kimberly, to Lawrence and Lorraine (Filz) Hopfensperger. Julia married Laurence E. Watson on Aug. 23, 1950. He preceded her in death in 2018.

Julia is survived by her son, Donald Watson of Abbotsford; daughters: Debra Watson (Al Pederson) of Colby and Joann Peel (Brad Backer) of Merrill; grandchildren: Mike and Bonnie Voelker of Minneapolis, Minn., Keith Voelker of Chippewa Falls, Jon and Amanda Peel of Colby, Lyle and Jamie Peel of Merrill and Chloe Turner of Merrill; two great-granddaughters: Aeris and Amara of Minneapolis, Minn.; brother, Lawrence Hopfensperger Jr. of Perkinstown; and sister, Elayne Lastofka of Appleton.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and sons: Ronald, Jerry and Steven.
