On Saturday and Sunday the work of moving the post office was completed and
Uncle Sam is now doing business in the Schoengarth building, two doors south of
the Times building. Complete fixtures throughout have been installed and they
make a very neat appearance. The fixtures are of steel and a fireproof vault is
one of the features of the equipment, and will protect stamps and war savings
certificates of the county. One pleasing feature of the new location is the
increased space available behind the partition for use of the postal employees..
In the old location the rural carriers, as well as the regular employees of the
office, were slightly cramped for room, but in the new building the carriers
have been amply provided with space and Hans and Otto can now talk to each other
without getting their hands mixed up.
