Stars and Stripes Stops by Thorp (Handing out New Flags – 18 September 2015)



On Friday, September 18, the Stars and Stripes Run made a stop in Thorp, looking for weathered, faded or tattered flags and handing out new flags.

The Mitchell Redcloud Jr. Detachment 1363 Marine Corp League out of Black River Falls put the program together and conducted the “run,” and were able to hand out 15 new flags, as well as six certificates in Thorp to Citizens who displayed a good flying flag.

Thorp resident, Justin Rosemeyer (pictured) was one of the many citizens who proudly displayed their pristine American flag, earning themselves a certificate from the Stars and Stripes Run Marine Corp League. Submitted photo
