Nowak, Patricia “Pat” (Intrepid Traveler - 2014)
Our local senior intrepid traveler has done it again! You may remember the
article in which we reported on her 2011 thirteen-day tour of China. Most
recently, Patricia “Pat” Nowak, small business owner of the TP Inn and mother of
two, as well as grandmother of four, has recently taken a Christmas Market River
Cruise along the Danube visiting the cities of Budapest, Vienna, Melk, Linz,
Passau, Regensburg, Nuremburg and Prague.
It's truly amazing that this 79-year old youngster, who recently had two knee
replacements, walked ably through every Christmas Market, as well as along with
every tour available including those of the beautiful Melk Abbey and the somber
concentration camp in Terezin.
Whenever possible, Pat capitalizes on the opportunity to take a trip with her
70-year-old sister, Bernie. Together, they have visited Ireland, England, Italy,
Greece, Turkey, France, Spain and numerous islands in the Caribbean (yes, she
parasailed) as well as the aforementioned cities in Hungary, Austria, Germany
and Czechoslovakia.
When asked about the highlight of the last trip, Pat said, “Peter, the ship
bartender, was really cute. I wonder if he was married.”
