Trogner, John M. (23 June 1896 - 31 October 1981)
NEILLSVILLE -- John M. Trogner, 85, of 500 E. Sixth St., died Saturday at
Memorial Hospital.
Services will be Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. Joseph N.
Henseler, pastor, officiating and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at Gesche Funeral Home.
Mr. Trogner was born June 23, 1896 at Neillsville to Mr. and Mrs. George (Nora
McMahn) Trogner. He was educated here and worked in Schoengarth Brickyards in
Neillsville for several years before joining the Army during World War I.
After his discharge he returned to Neillsville and worked at the Condensory Milk
Plant for few years and also was employed by Ed Hauge. Before retiring in 1967
he worked for Farmers Store Co. for 32 years.
He was a former member of Neillsville Volunteer Fire Department with 50 years of
service. Mr. Trogner was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and
Haugen-Richmond Post 73 of the American Legion of Neillsville.
He and Edith Seelow were married October 14, 1924 in Neillsville.
She survives along with two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Jean) Kuhn and Mrs.
Elizabeth Rice, both of Neillsville; a son, John C. Trogner, Oregon, Wisconsin;
nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Neal.
