NEILLSVILLE -- Services for Richard F. Hagedorn, 94, Neillsville, will be Friday
at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe. Mr. Hagedorn died Tuesday at Neillsville
Memorial Home, where he had been residing the past five years.
Officiating will be the Rev. Ralph O. Stuebs, pastor. Burial will be in the
Neillsville Cemetery. Friends may call at Gesche Funeral Home. Pallbearers will
be Rick Hoffmann, Louis Hoffmann, Ted Kopp, Jerry Howard, John Shaw and Randy
Hagedorn.
Mr. Hagedorn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius (Mary) Hagedorn was born May 8, 1887 in
the town of Weston, where he also received his education. He farmed with his
parents and following their death, continued to operate the home farm until
1946. He then moved to Neillsville and was employed by Nelson Muffler Co. until
retiring in 1960.
He married the former Ida Dux October 4, 1911 in the town of Weston. She died
July 12, 1955.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Carl (Nelda) Hoffmann, Mrs. Robert
(Lorraine) Shaw and Mrs. Louise Howard, all of Neillsville, and Mrs. Frank
(Marie) Meier, Salem, Oregon; a son, Clarence Hagedorn, Fond du Lac, 17
grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by two sisters and two
brothers.
