CHILI -- Word has been received of the death of a former Chili area resident,
Wayland F. Phillips, 90, Los Gatos, California. He died Thursday in a hospital
in Santa Cruz, California.
Memorial services and burial will take place in Los Gatos Memorial Hills.
Mr. Phillips, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Dexter (Elizabeth Davis) Phillips,
was born August 31 1891 in the town of Fremont (Clark Co., Wis.). In 1916 he
married the former Addie Angel, who preceded him in death in 1979. The couple
moved to California in March 1921 and resided there since.
Survivors include three sons, Charles, Gordon and David, all of California, and
a sister, Mrs. Myra McDonald, Anchorage, Alaska.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Kenneth, and a
sister, Mrs. Lenore Clark of the town of Rock.
