Halblander, Ulrich (5 November 1907 - 7 November 1981)

CURTISS - Services for Ulrich Halblander, 74, Route 1, Curtiss, will be Tuesday at the Maurina Home in Owen. Mr. Halblander was pronounced dead on arrival Saturday afternoon at the Colby Clinic after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home.

Officiating will be the Rev. Emil B. Hodnik, pastor of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Pallbearers will be Roland Hake, Tom Neumann, Ron Neumann, Ervin Halblander, Ted Babicz and Sebastian Weber.

Mr. Halblander was born November 5, 1907 in Hungary. He married the former Anna Schlegel November 19, 1928 in Hungary and later moved to Hassel, West Germany, in 1945.

In 1952 the couple came to Chicago, where he was employed by Lakewood Engineering Co. They came to the town of Mayville, rural Curtiss, in 1973.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Fabian, Chicago; s daughter, Mrs. Johanna Neumann, Curtiss; a brother, John of Hassel, West Germany; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Wirth, Hassel, West Germany; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
