Wojcik, John H. (10 JUN 1926 - 16 JUL 2020)

John H. Wojcik, 94, of Hannibal, passed away on Thursday July, 16, 2020, at Oakbrook Heath and Rehab in Thorp, WI. John was born on June 10, 1926, in Lublin, WI, to the late John and Susan (Kulas) Wojcik. He attended local schools and went on to serve his country in the US Army. On September 3, 1949, John married Gloria Ogurek at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin. They raised their family on a dairy farm near Hannibal. John was well- respected in the community and was involved with the local Church, and Jump River snowmobile club.

John is survived by his 15 children: Kathy (Tim) Cornell of Jump River, Denny (Colleen) Wojcik of Gilman, Gary (Renada) Wojcik of Narvon, PA, Sharon (David) Bacha of Lublin, David (Tammy) Wojcik of Gilman, Steven (Delores) Wojcik of Eleva, Eddie (Angie) Wojcik of Lititz, PA, Bill Wojcik of Thorntown, IN, Marie (Jason) Albrecht of Eau Claire, Michael (Melissa) Wojcik of Gilman, Karen (Bryan) Clark of Gilman, Jim (Karen) Wojcik of Stanley, Paul (Jessica) Wojcik of Gilman, Daryl (Sarah) Wojcik of Chippewa Falls and Debbie (Dan) Chaplinski of Ewa Beach, HI; a son-in-law, Jim Westaby of Stanley; 47 grandchildren: Renee, Jessica, Matthew, Rachel, Ben, Jonathan, Elaina, Michael, Elizabeth, Matty, Erica, Maria, Kara, Troy, Adam, Derrick, Leah, Kyle, Jayd, Isaiah, Ryan, Ricky, Deanna, Johanna, Taylor, Isaac, Samantha, Alyssa, Brandon, Chandler, Aaron, Alexander, Alexa, Ayden, Kayla, Ashley, Emily, Casey, James, Justin, Andrew, Coltyn, Darren, Sam, Brendan, Cashton and Logan; 29 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria, in November of 2017; his daughter Elaine; three grandchildren: Luke Wojcik, Aaron and Elizabeth Westaby; his brothers: Stanley, Casey, Julian, Florian; and his sisters: Augustine, Harriett, Sophie, Helen, and Lucille.

A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020; at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, with Father Vijay Kumar officiating. Burial followed in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Lublin. Visitation was on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Gilman Funeral Home with a 5 p.m. Parish rosary and on Monday morning one half hour prior to services at the church. The church service was limited to immediate family due the 25% social distance guidelines. The family asked that all in attendance bring a face covering.
