Hiles, Anida (2 July 1902 - 20 November 1981)
GRANTON -- Services were today at Zion American Lutheran Church in the town of
Grant for Mrs. Anida Hiles, 79, Route 2, Granton. She died Friday at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where she had been admitted October 29.
Officiating was the Rev. Maynard Stokka, Pastor. Music was provided by Mrs.
Rhoda Sternitzky, organist, and Midge Anderson, vocalist.
Burial was in the town of Grant cemetery, with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The Gilbertson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
The former Anida Dietrich was born July 2, 1902 in the town of Grant and
received her education in the town of Grant schools and Stevens Point Normal
School. She taught school in this area for a few years.
After her marriage to Robert Hiles on March 28, 1925 in the town of Grant, the
couple lived on a farm in the town of Grant. Her husband preceded her in death
June 20, 1971.
Survivors include two sons, James, Aurora, Illinois, and Walter, Granton; five
daughters, Mrs. Albert (Ramona) Davidson, Adams, Mrs. Eugene (Dorothy) Cattanach,
Granton, Mrs. Tilman (Marcia) Erickson, Milwaukee, Mrs. Donald (Beverly) Suhr,
Homewood, Illinois, and Mrs. Paul (Gloria) Spaete, Madison; a sister, Mrs. Emma
Lautenbach, Granton; two brothers, Rollie Dietrich, Granton, and Arnold
Dietrich, Owen, 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two daughters, a son, two sisters and two brothers.
She was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church.
