Howard, Ida (9 January 1888 - 23 November 1981)

Mrs. Archie (Ida) Howard, 93, 310 Seventh Ave. S, Wisconsin Rapids formerly of Marshfield, died Monday afternoon at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards.

Services will be Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert C. Reinhardt, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Howard, William Hiles, Walter Murray, Vern Roberts, Merlin David and Tim Morrison. Friends may call at the Hansen Funeral Home.

The former Ida Gluch was born January 9, 1888, in the town of Grant, Clark County, to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel (Marie Pischer) Gluch. She attended town of Grant Schools.

She was married to Archie Howard October 4, 1911 at Granton, and the couple farmed in Clark and Wood Counties. Mr. Howard died July 22, 1958.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Clarion Howard, Wisconsin Rapids, and Merton Howard, Marshfield; four daughters, Mrs. Dexter (Marion) Hiles, Dexterville, Mrs. Anton (Elaine) David, Nekoosa, Mrs. Melvin (Lorraine) Meyers, Marshfield, and Mrs. Harold (Adeline) Morrison, Sheboygan Falls, 24 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers.
