Dennis Berendsen and his mother moved to Willard from De Pere, Wisconsin. They
purchased the John Bloomingdale farm which was the original farm of the elder
Daughenbaugh's, one-half mile south of Willard or one-half mile east of the
Catholic cemetery, the southeast corner, now Louie Matkovich's farm. Mrs.
Bloomingdale was a Daughenbaugh who moved to a farm in the Osseo, Wisconsin
area.
