Bellin, Richard, (Dick) (26 JAN 1947 – 22 JUL 2020)

Richard (Dick) Bellin, age 73, passed away peacefully at home on July 22, 2020, with his wife by his side. He was born on January 26, 1947, in the Township of Lincoln, to the late Edward and Helen (Willems) Bellin.

He graduated from Casco High School in 1965. Dick proudly served our country from 1965 through 1969 in the Air Force, completing three tours in Vietnam. He met Terry LaGasse (Thorp, WI) while building campgrounds for Jellystone. They were married on October 28, 1972, and were blessed with three sons.

Dick was a man of many talents which he proudly displayed while working for several companies including Continental and United Airlines, Heyrman Steel Building, James Calmes Construction, in addition to farm implement and chain saw sales, all before joining the Carpenters/Millwright Union Local 1146, which he belonged over 20 years before retiring in 2002. Dick also enjoyed working with wood and owned his own saw mill for 10 years after he retired. He was always up for a good card game, but his favorite pastime was sharing a story and a beer with friends and family in his garage.

Dick is survived by his wife, Terry, of 47 years; three sons: Edward (Amber) Bellin of Forestville, Brad Bellin of Green Bay and Matthew (KC) Bellin of Lake Odessa, MI; five grandchildren: Jackson and Luke, Emerson, Fern and Asher; brothers and sisters: Cleo (Kermit) Franda, Adris (Jim Devroy) Alberts and Andrew (Bernadette) Bellin; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Mark LaGasse, Lynn Knusta and Ed Grajkowski; further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother- and father-in-law, Jack and Joyce (Wagner) LaGasse; brother and sisters: Alden Bellin, Jean (Ken) Hunsader, Ida (Harvey) Ropson; sister- and brother- in-law: Lois Grajkowski and John Knusta.

There will be a celebration of Life on August 8th at the Bellin residence, 9642 Cty Rd X, Casco, from 1:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with blessing and Military Honors at 2:00 p.m. There will be food, drinks and reminiscing to follow.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Unity Hospice for all of the care, comfort and support that was given to Dick and his family.
