Pruitt, Jeanne Dorothy (July 27, 1902 – October 24, 1992)
A former Beaverhead County resident, Jeanne Dorothy Pruitt, 90, died October 24, 1992, at Idaho Falls.
She was born July 27, 1902, at Neillsville, Wisconsin, the daughter of John J. Merrill and Mary Elizabeth Frances Merrill.
She attended schools in Wisconsin and Montana and was a student at Norman College in Dillon, training to become a teacher.
She married Erving Ernest Pruitt May 26, 1938, at Cheyenne Wyoming. She had two children by a previous marriage…Jack Gene Pruitt of Idaho Falls and Vida Marie Schwede, Las Vegas, New Mexico.
She is survived by her husband, her children, nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Marie V. Jensen of Medicine Lake, Montana.
She was a long-time Montana resident, living in Medicine Lake, Dillon, and Lima, and lived in Pocatello Idaho for many years before moving to Idaho Falls in 1984. Mrs. Pruitt taught school and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 28, 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church in Idaho Falls. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Mountanview Cemetery in Dillon. Buck Sullivan Funeral Home of Idaho Falls is in charge of arrangements.
