Potts, Roland A. (18 October 1911 - 2 December 1981)
ABBOTSFORD -- Roland A Potts, 70, of 204 W. Elm St., Abbotsford, died today at
St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been admitted on Thursday.
Services will be Saturday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Emil
B. Hodnik, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Milan Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford.
Mr. Potts was born October 18, 1911 in Milwaukee, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles (Anna Felske) Potts. He married the former Ann T. Gottwald June 22, 1946
in South Milwaukee. She survives. He moved to a farm in the town of Frankfort
with his parents at the age of 9 and continued to farm there from 1947 until
1972, when he came to Abbotsford.
He was a veteran of World War II.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Roland E. Potts, Hales
Corners, and Daniel P. Potts, Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Bornbach,
Rozellville, and Mrs. Al (Nita) Rowe, Greendale; two brothers, Charles,
Abbotsford, and Alfred, Wausau, and four grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother.
