Stibak, Sylvester (14 January 1888 - 2 December 1981)

THORP -- Services for Sylvester Stibak, 93, formerly of the Thorp area, will be Saturday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. Mr. Stibak died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital of Taylor County at Medford.

Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Gilman Funeral Home.

Mr. Stibak was born in Austria and came to the United States when he was a young man. He married the former Mary Wolenyk at Minneapolis, They lived in the Thorp area until 1943, when they moved to the Gilman area.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ann Przbylski, Babbit, Minnesota and Mrs. Helen Gabert, Gilman, 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
