Theilig, William G. (30 March 1908 - 8 December 1981)

COLBY -- Services for William G. Theilig, 73, Route 1, Colby, will be Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Green Grove. Mr. Theilig died Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been a patient since October 22.

Officiating will be the Rev. Roland A. Rakow, pastor. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitations may be made at the Rux-Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.

Mr. Theilig was born March 30, 1908 in the town of Colby to Mr. and Mrs. George (Minnie Schultz) Theilig and farmed all his life on the home farm. He married the former Irene Dittmeyer October 18, 1933 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Green Grove, She survives.

He was a member of st. Paul's Lutheran Church and served as its treasurer. He also served as treasurer for the town of Colby from 1963 to 1971 and as town assessor from 1955 to 1956. He served on the Sand Hill School Board as clerk for nine years,

In addition to his wife, he survived by three sons, Carl, Janesville, Donald, at home, and William, Jr., Owen; five daughters, Mrs. Erwin (Shirley) Eggergluess, Schofield, Mrs, Wilbur (Darlene) Dehn, Bonduel, Mrs.. Ralph (Eileen) Darr, Milton, Mrs. Dale (Donna Mae) Geiger, Dorchester, and Mrs. Dale (Marcia) Gebert, Hazelhurst; two sisters, Mrs. Alvina Handel, Curtiss, and Mrs. Clara Winkel, Colby; a brother Walter, Colby, and 13 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, a son, a granddaughter, two sisters andf his parents.
