Hack, Horace A. (1 June 1907 - 16 December 1981)
Services for Horace A. Hack, 74, of 211 W. 26th St., will be Saturday at Wesley
United Methodist Church. Mr. Hack died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital where
he had been admitted December 10.
Officiating will be the Rev. John F. Wreford, pastor. Music will be furnished by
William Allen, vocalist, and Mrs. Donald (Joyce) Weir, organist. Burial will
follow in Windfall Cemetery, Granton.
Serving as pallbearers will be John Damrau, Neil Lueoke, Harry and Russ Wenzel,
Wayne Mielke, Edward Bergman and Duane Fischer. Visitation will be at Hanson
Funeral Home.
Mr. Hack, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Minnie Florine) Hack, was born June 1, 197
in Jefferson and attended the Jefferson and Waukesha schools. As a young man he
moved with his parents to Waukesha, where he worked as a police officer from
1935 to 1947. He then moved to Granton, where he farmed and later operated
Hack's Locker Plant.
He came to Marshfield in October of 1961 and worked for Wenzel Farm Sausage
until retiring in 1970. He then worked on a part-time basis for Northtown and
Southtown Foods and later for Nelson's bicycle shop.
His first marriage was to the former Kathryn O'Mealy on November 29, 1928. She
died May 25, 1959. He later married the former Linda Brewin in 1961 in Des
Plaines, Illinois. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Karen) Trimberger, St. Louis,
Missouri; a sister, Mrs. Norris (Genevieve) Poppie, Beaver Dam, and two
grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother and a sister.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
The family has suggested memorials be made to the Marshfield Medical Foundation.
